CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the ECM removal/installation are shown below.

Note:

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
2. Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps.
3. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner hose assembly from the air cleaner assembly.
4. Disengage the 3 pins to remove the air cleaner assembly.

REMOVE ECM
1. Rotate the 2 levers while pushing the locks, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
  
  Note:
  After disconnecting the ECM connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the ECM connectors.
2. Remove the nut, 2 bolts and ECM.
  
  Note:
  If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.

REMOVE NO. 1 ECM BRACKET
1. Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 ECM bracket from the ECM.
