AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the air fuel ratio sensor removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  2. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

  4. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

    CAUTION:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

      Disengage the wire harness clamp.

    2. Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

    3. B006YRFN01

      Using SST, remove the air fuel ratio sensor from the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly (TWC: Front Catalyst).

      Note

      If the air fuel ratio sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
