LIGHTING SYSTEM(for Triple Beam Headlight) OPERATION CHECK

AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK

1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

2. Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.

3. Cover the automatic light control sensor.

4. Check that the taillights and low beam headlights come on.

5. Uncover the automatic light control sensor.

6. Check that the low beam headlights and taillights go off.

LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (for European Models)

1. When the light control switch is in the tail or head position

   
   

   1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   2. Turn the low beam headlights, high beam headlights, or front fog lights on.

   3. Turn the power switch off.

      Tech Tips

      If the vehicle speed was not less than 10 km/h (6 mph) when the power switch was turned off, open the driver door.

   4. Check that the low beam headlights, high beam headlights and front fog lights go off immediately.

      Tech Tips

      The taillights, clearance lights, license plate lights and rear fog light remain on.

2. When the light control switch is in the AUTO position

   
   

   1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   2. Turn the taillights, low beam headlights, high beam headlights, front fog lights or rear fog light on.

   3. Turn the power switch off.

      Tech Tips

      If the vehicle speed was not less than 10 km/h (6 mph) when the power switch was turned off, open the driver door.

   4. Check that all of the lights go off immediately.

LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (except European Models)

1. Close all of the doors.

2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

3. Turn the taillights, low beam headlights, high beam headlights and front fog lights on.

4. Turn the power switch off.

5. Open the driver door.

6. Check that all of the lights go off immediately.

DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK

1. Turn the light control switch to the off* or AUTO position (with the taillights not turned on via the automatic light control system).

   
   

   • *: w/ Light Control Switch Off Position

2. Turn the power switch is on (READY).

3. Release the parking brake.

4. Check that the daytime running lights come on.

WELCOME LIGHT ILLUMINATION CONTROL OPERATION CHECK

1. Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.

2. Cover the automatic light control sensor.

3. Turn the power switch off.

4. Close and lock all doors.

5. Unlock all doors by wireless door unlock or entry door unlock.

6. Check that the clearance lights come on for approximately 15 seconds.

FOLLOW ME HOME SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (w/ Follow Me Home System)

1. Turn the power switch off.

2. Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.

3. Pull the light control switch to flash the headlights once.

4. Check that the low beam headlights come on for approximately 30 seconds.

OUTSIDE HANDLE FOOT LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION CHECK

1. The operation and condition of this control are described below.

   Operation	Condition
   Fade in and illuminate constantly	When any of the following conditions is met, the lights fade in and illuminate constantly: A key is detected in the actuation area. Any door is unlocked when the power switch is off and all of the doors are closed. The power switch is off, any door is opened when all doors are closed.
   Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then 2 steps fade out	When any of the following conditions is met, the lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then in 2 steps fade out: An actuation area-linked function is used.* All doors are closed and then any door is opened. Any door is unlocked when the power switch is off and all of the doors are closed. The power switch is off, any door is opened when all doors are closed. Any door is closed or opened.
   Fade out immediately	When the following condition is met, the lights fade out immediately: The power switch is turned from off to on (ACC) or on (IG).
   2 steps fade out immediately	When any of the following conditions is met, the lights 2 steps fade out immediately: All doors are locked when all doors are closed and any door is unlocked. All doors are locked again when all doors are closed and locked. All doors are closed and then any door is opened.

   Tech Tips

   *: When the lights are on, if the key leaves the actuation areas around the doors, the lights fade out after approximately 3 seconds.
