LIGHTING SYSTEM Remote Touchpad Illumination Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the remote touchpad illumination light.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Main Body > Active Test

      Preconditions for using the Active Test to check dimmer controlled illumination:


      • Power switch on (IG).

      • Shift lever is in any position other than P.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUXILIARY BATTERY OR ACC RELAY - REMOTE OPERATION CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the O75 remote operation controller assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O75-1 (+B) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      O75-6 (ACC) - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) or on (IG) 11 to 14 V

  3. INSPECT REMOTE OPERATION CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the remote operation controller assembly.

      Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the connector and check that the remote touchpad illumination light comes on.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REMOTE OPERATION CONTROLLER ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the 4B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O75-7 (BILL) - 4B-22 Always Below 1 Ω
      O75-7 (BILL) or 4B-22 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
