POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM All Doors LOCK/UNLOCK Functions do not Operate Via Door Control Switch

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives switch signals from the power window regulator switch assembly on the front passenger door and activates the door lock motor on each door according to these signals.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (Door Lock SW-Lock, Door Lock SW-Unlock)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

    1. Remove the power window regulator switch assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY -INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. for LHD


      1. Disconnect the 4B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        R4-7 (UL) - 4B-24 Always Below 1 Ω
        R4-12 (L) - 4B-25 Always Below 1 Ω
        R4-5 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        4B-24 or R4-7 (UL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        4B-25 or R4-12 (L) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    2. for RHD


      1. Disconnect the 4B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        S4-7 (UL) - 4B-24 Always Below 1 Ω
        S4-12 (L) - 4B-25 Always Below 1 Ω
        S4-5 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
        4B-24 or S4-7 (UL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        4B-25 or S4-12 (L) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
