DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor RH detects an open in the outer rear view mirror indicator RH.

    Both of the following conditions are met:

  • The blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on


  • The current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is being sent to the indicator


  • Outer mirror RH

  • Outer mirror actuator assembly RH

  • Wire harness or connector

  • Blind spot monitor sensor RH

  • Outer mirror control ECU assembly RH

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Clear DTCs
    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.


      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes
      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the U48 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the R12 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U48-4 (OMIR) - R12-13 (BDSR) Always Below 1 Ω
      R12-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Disconnect the R13 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH - OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH)


    1. Disconnect the R7 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R7-8 (BSR+) - R13-8 (BDIR) Always Below 1 Ω
      R7-12 (-) - R13-12 (HTR-) Always Below 1 Ω

  5. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Disconnect the IND2 outer mirror RH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      R7-8 (BSR+) - IND2-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R7-12 (-) - IND2-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

  6. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR RH


    1. Remove the outer mirror RH.

    2. Inspect the outer rear view mirror indicator RH on the outer mirror RH.
