AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM(w/o Parking Assist Monitor System) Speaker Circuit

DESCRIPTION

If there is a short in a speaker circuit, the stereo component amplifier assembly detects it and stops output to the speakers.

Thus sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the stereo component amplifier assembly*1 or speakers.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the O68 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the R14 and S14 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 1 speaker assemblies and the radio receiver assembly to check for an open circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance

    2. Disconnect the O67 radio setting condenser connector.

    3. Disconnect the O54 and O55 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Measure the resistance between the radio receiver assembly and the radio setting condenser to check for an open circuit in the wire harness.

    6. Measure the resistance between the front No. 2 speaker assembly LH and the radio setting condenser to check for an open circuit in the wire harness.

    7. Measure the resistance between the radio receiver assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

    3. Measure the resistance between each of the rear speaker assemblies and the radio receiver assembly to check for an open circuit in the wire harness.

      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left front No. 2 speaker assembly is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.
