FUEL LID OPENER UNIT REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

2. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

   Click here

3. REMOVE REAR WHEEL LH

   Click here

4. REMOVE FRONT REAR WHEEL HOUSE PLATE

   Click here

5. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER LH

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the screw.

   2. 

      Remove the clip.

   3. 

      Remove the clip.

   4. 

      Remove the clip.

   5. 

      Remove the 3 grommets.

      Tech Tips

      The grommets need to be replaced with new ones because they will break when they are removed.

   6. 

      Remove the 8 nuts and rear wheel house liner LH.

6. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the fuel filler opening lid sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

   2. 

      Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw.

   3. Slide the fuel filler opening lid assembly to disconnect it from the 4 parts (a) and remove it as shown in the illustration.

7. REMOVE FUEL TANK CAP ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the fuel tank cap assembly as shown in the illustration.

   2. 

      Disengage the clamp to remove the fuel tank cap assembly.

8. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the fuel inlet box ring as shown in the illustration.

      Fuel Inlet Box Ring

      -

      -

   2. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe shield as shown in the illustration.

      
   3. 

      Remove the 4 screws.

   4. 

      Remove the fuel filler opening lid sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

   5. Push the fuel tank filler pipe shield and fuel inlet box ring as shown in the illustration.

      

      *1	Fuel Inlet Box Ring	-	-
      *a	Push	*b	Pull

   6. Pull the fuel tank filler pipe shield and fuel inlet box ring as shown in the illustration to remove them as a set.

   7. 

      *1	Fuel Inlet Box Ring

      Remove the fuel inlet box ring.
