HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSMISSION UNIT REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY


    1. B004G8S

      Install a new oil strainer assembly to the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL OIL COOLER RETURN TUBE


    1. B004ERL

      Install the oil cooler return tube to the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

  3. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B004FHK

      Install the 2 magnets to the transmission oil pan sub-assembly.

    2. Install a new gasket to the transmission oil pan sub-assembly.

      Install the transmission oil pan sub-assembly to the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly with the 18 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the bolts in diagonal sequence.

  4. INSTALL TRANSMISSION BREATHER PLUG SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B004FRWC01
      *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

      Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, install the transmission breather plug sub-assembly to the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

      Torque:
      Torque: Specified Tightening Torque
      11.3 N*m  { 115 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the transmission breather plug sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips


      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using a 14 mm union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 25 mm (0.984 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.38 in.)):

        9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf)

  5. INSTALL EXTENSION HOUSING TYPE T OIL SEAL

  6. INSTALL FLANGE YOKE ASSEMBLY

  7. INSTALL HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY TYPE T OIL SEAL

  8. INSTALL ELBOW


    1. Coat 2 new O-rings with ATF and install them to the 2 elbows.

    2. Using SST, install the 2 elbows to the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly so that they are positioned as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips


      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using SST (Nozzle Retaining Nut Wrench (fulcrum length of 24 mm (0.945 in.)) + SST (Torque Wrench Adaptor (fulcrum length of 200 mm (7.87 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.09 in.):

        15.9 N*m (162 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf)

  9. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER POSITION SENSOR

  10. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL ROD GROMMET

      *2 Transmission Control Rod Grommet

      Install the transmission control rod grommet to the transmission control shaft lever.

    2. Install the spacer to the transmission control rod grommet.

  11. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL SHAFT LEVER


    1. B004FOC

      Install the transmission control shaft lever to the shift lever position sensor with the spring washer and nut.

      Torque:
      15.7 N*m  { 160 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf }
