DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU assembly receives brake control request signals from the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly and driving support ECU assembly.

When the request signals received from the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly and driving support ECU assembly are not consistent, the skid control ECU assembly determines that a malfunction has occurred and sends a malfunction signal to the driving support ECU assembly.

If the driving support ECU assembly receives the malfunction signal, DTC C1A41 is stored.

Note


  • When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.


      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Trouble Codes

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.


      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes

  3. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly with a new one.

  4. CHECK FOR DTCs (RADAR CRUISE)


    1. Clear the DTCs.


      Powertrain > Radar Cruise > Clear DTCs

    2. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the following conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.


      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      2. Wait for 1 second or more.

    3. Check for DTCs.


      Powertrain > Radar Cruise > Trouble Codes

  6. CHECK FOR DTCs (RADAR CRUISE)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

    2. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
