DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:U0125, U0126, U0129, U0293, U1104

DTC Code DTC Name
U0125 Lost Communication with Yaw Rate Sensor Module
U0126 Lost Communication with Steering Angle Sensor Module
U0129 Lost Communication with Brake System Control Module
U0293 Lost Communication with Hybrid Vehicle Control System
U1104 Lost Communication with Driving Support ECU

DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU assembly uses the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly to detect obstacles in front of the vehicle. Based on this information, the driving support ECU assembly sends pre-crash safety control operation signals. These DTCs are stored when a communication malfunction occurs between the sensors and ECUs that detect crashes, or between ECUs that perform the pre-crash safety control.

DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
U0125 Lost Communication with Yaw Rate Sensor Module When the cruise control switch is on and the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 36 km/h (22 mph) or more, a communication error between the yaw rate sensor and the driving support ECU assembly is detected for approximately 1 second.
  • CAN communication system

  • Yaw rate sensor

  • Driving support ECU assembly

U0126 Lost Communication with Steering Angle Sensor Module When the cruise control switch is on and the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 36 km/h (22 mph) or more, a communication error between the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly (steering angle sensor) and the driving support ECU assembly is detected for approximately 4 seconds.
  • CAN communication system

  • Spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly

  • Driving support ECU assembly

U0129 Lost Communication with Brake System Control Module When the cruise control switch is on and the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 36 km/h (22 mph) or more, a communication error between the skid control ECU assembly and the driving support ECU assembly is detected for approximately 6 seconds.
  • CAN communication system

  • Skid control ECU assembly

  • Driving support ECU assembly

U0293 Lost Communication with Hybrid Vehicle Control System
  • When the cruise control switch is on and the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 36 km/h (22 mph) or more, a communication error between the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly and driving support ECU assembly is detected for 4 seconds or more.

  • When the cruise control switch is on and the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 36 km/h (22 mph) or more, a communication error between the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly and skid control ECU assembly is detected for 1 second or more.

  • CAN communication system

  • Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly

  • Driving support ECU assembly

U1104 Lost Communication with Driving Support ECU When the cruise control switch is on and the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 36 km/h (22 mph) or more, a communication error between the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly or skid control ECU assembly and the driving support ECU assembly is detected for approximately 1 second.
  • CAN communication system

  • Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly

  • Skid control ECU assembly

  • Driving support ECU assembly

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (RADAR CRUISE)

    1. Clear the DTCs.

Powertrain > Radar Cruise > Clear DTCs
    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
