CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Cruise SET Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly illuminates the cruise control SET indicator by sending an indicator output request signal to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication. The cruise control SET indicator illuminates when the cruise control system is controlling vehicle speed. The cruise SET indicator light circuit uses CAN communication. If the cruise control SET indicator is not functioning correctly, check for CAN communication DTCs before troubleshooting this circuit.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (INDICAT. SET)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test

      Meter Display 1 Multi-information display OFF or All for Optitron Meter Type

      The cruise control SET indicator illuminates or turns off in accordance with the Active Test.

      The multi-information display turns on or off in accordance with the Active Test.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (SET/COAST SWITCH)


    1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.

    2. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Powertrain > Cruise Control > Data List

      SET/COAST Switch -/SET switch signal ON or OFF

      ON: -/SET switch on

      OFF: -/SET switch off
