RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION


    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.

  3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the radiator assembly to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly, radiator assembly (for inverter coolant) or pipe when installing the radiator assembly.

    2. Engage the 2 guides.

    3. Engage the 2 claws to install the radiator assembly (for inverter coolant) and cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Make sure not to damage the cooler condenser assembly or radiator assembly (for inverter coolant) when installing the radiator assembly.

  4. INSTALL FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 3 guides.

    2. Engage the 3 claws to install the fan shroud assembly to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Make sure not to damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan shroud assembly.

  5. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. Install the upper radiator support with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      15 N*m  { 153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 5 clamps and connect the wire harness to the upper radiator support.

    3. Connect the smog ventilation sensor connector.

    4. Connect the 2 horn connectors.

  6. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE


    1. Connect the cooling fan ECU connector.

    2. Engage the 5 clamps to connect the engine room main wire to the upper radiator support.

  7. CONNECT NO. 2 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  8. CONNECT NO. 2 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 oil cooler inlet hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

    2. Install a new No. 1 flexible hose clamp to the radiator assembly.

    3. Connect the No. 2 oil cooler inlet hose to the No. 1 flexible hose clamp.

  9. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly to the fan shroud assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

    2. Install a new radiator hose clamp to the fan shroud assembly.

    3. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator hose clamp.

    4. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  10. INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the radiator hose sub-assembly to the radiator assembly and water inlet, and slide the 2 clips to secure it.

  11. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the radiator reserve tank assembly to the fan shroud assembly.

    2. Engage the clamp to connect the wire harness to the radiator reserve tank assembly.

    3. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the reserve tank outlet hose to the fan shroud assembly.

    4. Connect the reserve tank outlet hose to the radiator reserve tank assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

    5. Engage the clamp to connect the radiator reserve tank hose to the fan shroud assembly.

    6. Connect the radiator reserve tank hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  12. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  13. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the clamp to connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support.

  14. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (for RHD)

  15. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR

    Click here

  16. INSTALL INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER

    Click here

  17. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)

    Click here

  18. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine)

    Click here

  19. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

  20. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER

  21. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
