COMBINATION SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Inspect EV drive mode switch:


      1. B004FW1C21
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Combination Switch Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2 (S) - 16 (E) EV drive mode switch (combination switch assembly) being pushed and held Below 50 Ω
        EV drive mode switch (combination switch assembly) not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly.

    2. Inspect SNOW mode switch:


      1. A01OCJBC22
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Combination Switch Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 (SNSW) - 16 (E) SNOW mode switch (combination switch assembly) being pushed and held Below 50 Ω
        SNOW mode switch (combination switch assembly) not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly.

    3. Inspect mode switch:


      1. A01OCJBC23
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Combination Switch Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        10 (PWR) - 16 (E) Mode switch (combination switch assembly) being turned and held at SPORT position Below 50 Ω
        Mode switch (combination switch assembly) not turned 10 kΩ or higher
        9 (NORM) - 16 (E) Mode switch (combination switch assembly) being pushed and held Below 50 Ω
        Mode switch (combination switch assembly) not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
        11 (ECO) - 16 (E) Mode switch (combination switch assembly) being turned and held at ECO position Below 50 Ω
        Mode switch (combination switch assembly) not turned 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly.

    4. Inspect VSC off switch:


      1. A01OCJBC24
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Combination Switch Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 (+) - 16 (E) VSC off switch (combination switch assembly) pushed and held Below 50 Ω
        VSC off switch (combination switch assembly) not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly.

    5. Inspect illumination:


      1. A01ODAJC02
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Combination Switch Assembly)

        *b Combination Switch Assembly Illumination

        Apply auxiliary battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the combination switch assembly.

        Standard
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 5 (ILL+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 8 (ILL-)

        Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly.
