If the warning start conditions are met, check that the warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds and 'Window opened' is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly.
Warning start condition
When either of the following conditions is met, the warning starts.
With the power switch off, the driver door closed and any power window open, the driver door is opened.
With the power switch on, the driver door open and any power window open, the power switch is turned off.
*1: If the driver door power window is between the fully closed position and door-linked window control open position, it is judged as fully closed.
*2: When a door is open, if the power window is in the door-linked window control open position, it is judged as fully closed.
Check that 'Window opened' is no longer displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly if the warning stop conditions are met while the warning is operating. The warning buzzer stops sounding after the current cycle is finished.
Warning stop condition
When any of the following conditions is met, the warning stops.
All of the power windows are fully closed.*
The power switch is turned on.
The driver door is closed.
30 seconds have elapsed since the warning buzzer started to sound.

CHECK JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION
Check the basic function.
CAUTION:
Do not put your fingers between the vehicle body and door glass to check the jam protection function. Also, prevent any part of your body from being caught during inspection.
Tech Tips
The jam protection function is operative during both the auto up and manual up operations while the hybrid vehicle control system is started or the power switch is on (IG), and also for approximately 43 seconds after the power switch is turned off.
Fully open the power window.
| *a | Check Jig |
| *b | Cloth |
Set a check jig wrapped with a piece of cloth near the power window fully closed position.
Operate the auto up or manual up function and check that the power window stops and goes down after the check jig is caught between the door glass and roof side rail weatherstrip, and stops when the opening reaches approximately 135 mm (5.31 in.) (auto up function) or 35 mm (1.38 in.) (manual up function) or until approximately 5 seconds have elapsed.
Tech Tips
After the jam protection function has operated when an auto up or manual up operation was performed, the jam protection function will not operate if the manual up operation is performed again within approximately 4 seconds.
After the catch protection function has operated when an auto down or manual down operation was performed, the jam protection function will not operate if the manual up operation is performed within approximately 4 seconds.
While the power window is moving down, check that the door glass cannot be raised using the power window switch.
CHECK CATCH PROTECTION FUNCTION
Check the basic function.
Tech Tips
The catch protection function is operative during both the auto down and manual down operations while the hybrid vehicle control system is started or the power switch is on (IG), and also for approximately 43 seconds after the power switch is turned off.
Fully close all of the power windows.
Operate the auto down or manual down function to open the window, grasp the upper edge of the door glass with one or two hands and check that the power window stops.
Tech Tips
After the catch protection function has operated when an auto down or manual down operation was performed, the catch protection function will not operate if the manual down operation is performed again within approximately 4 seconds.
DOOR-LINKED WINDOW CONTROL
Open the driver side door or front passenger side door, and then check that the window glass whose door has just been opened descends approximately 12 mm (0.472 in.) automatically from the fully closed position.
Close the driver side door or front passenger side door, and then check that the window glass whose door is just closed ascends automatically to the fully closed position.
Tech Tips
The index control is not performed if the window glass opened more than approximately 12 mm (0.472 in.) from the fully-closed position. However, considering the backlash on the regulator, if the window opened more than approximately 12 mm (0.472 in.) because of the index control that caused the window glass to descend and there is no interruption from any other operation, then the window ascends automatically.
CHECK POWER WINDOW SWITCH LED ILLUMINATION
Check the LED illumination (multiplex network master switch assembly).
Check that the LEDs located in the multiplex network master switch assembly illuminate when the power switch is turned on (IG).
Check the LED illumination (power window regulator switch assembly).
