REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame may injure your hands.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Place the rear seatback assembly LH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the guide and install the rear seatback assembly LH with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    3. Engage the 5 fasteners.

    4. Engage the 2 fasteners and 3 clips.

  2. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Place the rear seatback assembly RH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the guide and install the rear seatback assembly RH with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    3. Engage the 5 fasteners.

    4. Engage the fastener and 2 clips.

  3. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Pass the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH through the rear side seatback assembly LH.

    2. Install the rear side seatback assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  4. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  5. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the 2 rear seat headrest assemblies.

  8. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

      Engage the 2 claws to install a new rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  9. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the rear seat cushion assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Pass the 2 rear seat inner belt assemblies through the rear seat cushion assembly.

      *a Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook
      *b Child Restraint Seat Anchor Bracket Hook

      Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly to the 2 child restraint seat anchor bracket hooks.

    4. Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly to the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks as shown in the illustration.

    5. Confirm that the rear seat cushion assembly is securely installed.
