LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER OUTER SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT LUGGAGE ELECTRICAL KEY SWITCH

   
   

   1. Check the resistance of the switch.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Luggage Electrical Key Switch)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 5 (UL) - 10 (E) Switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher Switch pressed Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage electrical key switch.

   2. Check the resistance of the harness.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         

         *a

         Luggage Electrical Key Switch (Wire Harness Side)

         *b

         Luggage Electrical Key Switch (Rear Television Camera Assembly Side)

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition U40-6 (CB+) - A-6 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω U40-7 (CV+) - A-3 (CV+) Always Below 1 Ω U40-2 (CV-) - A-2 (CV-) Always Below 1 Ω U40-1 (CGND) - A-5 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω U40-4 (CURT) - A-1 (CURT) Always Below 1 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage electrical key switch.
