FRONT BUMPER REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

      B005OOA Install in this Direction (1)
      B005OMH Install in this Direction (2)

      Engage the claw as shown in the illustration.

    2. Engage the clip as shown in the illustration.

    3. A01VY3F

      Install the front bumper side retainer LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Type A)

      Install the front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      35 N*m  { 357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf }
    2. A01VXQE

      Install the 2 clips.

    3. A01VUS6

      Engage the 3 clamps.

  4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Type B)


    1. A01VXEV

      Install the front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      35 N*m  { 357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf }
    2. A01VTQV

      Install the 2 clips.

    3. A01VY1R

      Engage the 3 clamps.

  5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER (for Type A)

      Install the front bumper energy absorber as shown in the illustration.

  6. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER (for Type B)

  7. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ARM HOLE COVER LH (for Bar Type Radiator Grille)

      Engage the claw as shown in the illustration to install the front bumper arm hole cover LH.

      Install the clip.

  9. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE MOULDING (for Bar Type Radiator Grille)

      Engage the 8 claws as shown in the illustration and install the lower radiator grille molding to the lower radiator grille.

  10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER GUARD COVER LH (for Bar Type Radiator Grille)

      Install the front bumper guard cover LH with the 3 screws.

  12. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER GUARD (for Bar Type Radiator Grille)


    1. Engage the 8 claws as shown in the illustration.

      Engage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration and install the fog light cover LH to the radiator grille garnish.

      Engage the 5 claws as shown in the illustration to install the fog light cover LH with radiator grille garnish.

      Install the fog light cover LH and radiator grille garnish with the screw.

  34. INSTALL BRACKET

      Install the bracket with the 3 screws.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  35. INSTALL NO. 2 WASHER BRACKET (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 2 washer bracket, heat the front bumper assembly and No. 2 washer bracket using a heat light.

    Heating Temperature
    Item Temperature
    Front Bumper Assembly 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    No. 2 Washer Bracket 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the No. 2 washer bracket or front bumper assembly excessively.


    1. Clean the front bumper assembly surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the front bumper assembly.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper assembly and No. 2 washer bracket.

    3. Remove the release paper from a new No. 2 washer bracket.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      Install the No. 2 washer bracket as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Apply the No. 2 washer bracket along the line marked on the front bumper cover.

  36. INSTALL NO. 1 WASHER BRACKET (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

    Use the same procedure for the No. 2 washer bracket.

  37. INSTALL WASHER HOSE (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

      Engage the 9 clamps to install the washer hose.
