ADAPTIVE HIGH BEAM SYSTEM Adaptive High Beam Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The headlight ECU sub-assembly LH detects integration control and panel assembly (adaptive high beam switch) signals. The adaptivec high beam system can be turned on and off by operating the integration control and panel assembly (adaptive high beam switch).

Note

If the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > AFS > Data List
      Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      AHS Switch Integration control and panel assembly (adaptive high beam switch) signal ON or OFF

      ON: Integration control and panel assembly (adaptive high beam switch) is operated

      OFF: Integration control and panel assembly (adaptive high beam switch) is not operated

  2. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (ADAPTIVE HIGH BEAM SWITCH)


    1. Remove the integration control and panel assembly (adaptive high beam switch).

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (ADAPTIVE HIGH BEAM SWITCH) - HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH OR BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the A49 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J83-1 (+B) - A49-6 (AZSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      J83-1 (+B) or A49-6 (AZSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J83-10 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
