DESCRIPTION

The headlight ECU sub-assembly LH receives signals indicating direction and amount the steering wheel is turned from the steering sensor using CAN communication. The headlight ECU sub-assembly LH stores DTC B2414.

  • Perform the communication function inspections in Diagnosis System to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before performing the following procedure.

  • If the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

PROCEDURE


  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. for Single Beam Headlight:


      1. Clear the DTCs.

        Click here


        Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Clear DTCs

    2. for Triple Beam Headlight:


      1. Clear the DTCs.

        Click here


        Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    2. for Single Beam Headlight:


      1. Check for DTCs.

        Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Trouble Codes
        OK
        DTC B2414 is not output.

    3. for Triple Beam Headlight:


      1. Check for DTCs.

        Body Electrical > AFS > Trouble Codes

  3. REPLACE STEERING SENSOR


    1. Replace the steering sensor with a new or known good one.
