WASHER MOTOR INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT WASHER MOTOR & PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. A01RCK8C05
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Washer Motor and Pump Assembly)

      for Front Washer:


      1. Remove the washer jar.

      2. Disconnect the washer motor and pump assembly connector.

        Tech Tips

        This check should be performed with the washer motor and pump assembly installed on the washer jar.

      3. Fill the washer jar with washer fluid.

      4. Connect a battery positive (+) lead to terminal 1 of the washer motor and pump assembly, and a negative (-) lead to terminal 2.

      5. Check that washer fluid flows from the washer jar.

        OK
        Washer fluid flows from the washer jar.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the washer motor and pump assembly.

      Component without harness connected

      (Washer Motor and Pump Assembly)

      for Rear Washer:


      1. Remove the washer jar.

      2. Disconnect the washer motor and pump assembly connector.

        Tech Tips

        This check should be performed with the washer motor and pump assembly installed on the washer jar.

      3. Fill the washer jar with washer fluid.

      4. Connect a battery positive (+) lead to terminal 2 of the washer motor and pump assembly, and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1.

      5. Check that washer fluid flows from the washer jar.

        OK
        Washer fluid flows from the washer jar.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the washer motor and pump assembly.
