PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. for Wiper Switch RH Side Type:

        *A w/ Auto Wiper System
        *B w/o Auto Wiper System
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Windshield Wiper Switch Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Front Washer Switch
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        J33-4 (EW) - J33-7 (WF) ON Below 1 Ω
        J31-5 (WR) - J31-10 (+B2)
        J33-4 (EW) - J33-7 (WF) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        J31-5 (WR) - J31-10 (+B2)
        Rear Wiper Switch
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        J33-2 (C1R) - J33-4 (EW) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        J33-3 (+1R) - J33-4 (EW)
        J33-2 (C1R) - J33-4 (EW) INT Below 1 Ω
        J33-3 (+1R) - J33-4 (EW) ON
        Rear Washer Switch
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        J33-4 (EW) - J31-5 (WR) ON Below 1 Ω
        J33-7 (WF) - J31-10 (+B2)
        J33-4 (EW) - J31-5 (WR) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        J33-7 (WF) - J31-10 (+B2)

        If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.

    2. for Wiper Switch LH Side Type:


      1. A01RCNUC01
        *A w/ Auto Wiper System
        *B w/o Auto Wiper System
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        J33-7 (EW) - J33-4 (WF) ON Below 1 Ω
        J31-10 (WR) - J31-5 (+B2)
        J33-7 (EW) - J33-4 (WF) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        J31-10 (WR) - J31-5 (+B2)
        Rear Wiper Switch
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        J33-2 (C1R) - J33-7 (EW) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        J33-1 (+1R) - J33-7 (EW)
        J33-2 (C1R) - J33-7 (EW) INT Below 1 Ω
        J33-1 (+1R) - J33-7 (EW) ON
        Rear Washer Switch
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        J33-7 (EW) - J31-10 (WR) ON Below 1 Ω
        J33-4 (WF) - J31-5 (+B2)
        J33-7 (EW) - J31-10 (WR) OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        J33-4 (WF) - J31-5 (+B2)

        If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.
