AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.
Cover the automatic light control sensor.
Check that the taillights and low beam headlights come on.
Uncover the automatic light control sensor.
Check that the low beam headlights and taillights go off.
LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (except Driver Door-linked Auto Light Turn-off System)
When the light control switch is in the tail or head position
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the low beam headlights, high beam headlights, or front fog lights on.
Turn the engine switch off.
Check that the low beam headlights, high beam headlights and front fog lights go off immediately.
Tech Tips
The taillights and rear fog light remain on.
When the light control switch is in the AUTO position
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the taillights, low beam headlights, high beam headlights, front fog lights or rear fog light on.
Turn the engine switch off.
Check that all of the lights go off immediately.
LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (for Driver Door-linked Auto Light Turn-off System)
Close all of the doors.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the taillights, low beam headlights, high beam headlights and front fog lights on.
Turn the engine switch off.
Open the driver door.
Check that all of the lights go off immediately.
LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (w/ Delay Function)
When the taillights are on (low beam headlights are not on)
Close all of the doors.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the taillights on.
Turn the engine switch off.
Open the driver door.
Check that all of the lights go off immediately.
When the low beam headlights are on
Close all of the doors.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the low beam headlights on.
Turn the engine switch off.
Open any of the doors.
Close the door.
Check that all of the lights go off after 30 seconds (delay function).
Tech Tips
Before the lights go off, if the lock button on the key is pushed after all of the doors are locked, all of the lights will go off immediately.
DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK
Turn the light control switch to the off* or AUTO position (with the taillights not turned on via the automatic light control system).
*: w/ Light Control Switch Off Position
Start the engine.
Release the parking brake.
Check that the daytime running lights come on.
WELCOME LIGHT ILLUMINATION CONTROL OPERATION CHECK
Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.
Cover the automatic light control sensor.
Turn the engine switch off.
Close and lock all doors.
Unlock all doors by wireless door unlock or entry door unlock.
Check that the clearance lights come on for approximately 15 seconds.
FOLLOW ME HOME SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (w/ Follow Me Home System)
Turn the engine switch off.
Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.
Pull the light control switch to flash the headlights once.
Check that the low beam headlights come on for approximately 30 seconds.
OUTSIDE HANDLE FOOT LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION CHECK
The operation and condition of this control are described below.

Tech Tips
*: When the lights are on, if the key leaves the actuation areas around the doors, the lights fade out after approximately 3 seconds.
CORNERING LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION CHECK
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the light control switch to the HEAD position.
Perform the following operations while driving the vehicle at 35 km/h (22 mph) or less and check that the cornering lights operate appropriately.
Operate the right turn signal switch and check that the cornering light RH illuminates.
Operate the left turn signal switch and check that the cornering light LH illuminates.
Turn the steering wheel 80 degrees or more to the right and check that the cornering light RH illuminates. Turn the steering wheel to an angle of 30 degrees or less and check that the cornering light RH turns off.
Turn the steering wheel 80 degrees or more to the left and check that the cornering light LH illuminates. Turn the steering wheel to an angle of 30 degrees or less and check that the cornering light LH turns off.
Move the shift lever to R and check that the cornering light LH and cornering light RH illuminate.*
