FRONT WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

Make sure to hold the front wiper arm while lifting it as lifting the front wiper arm by the front wiper blade may damage or deform the front wiper blade.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY TOP LH

      Remove the center hood cushion and 2 clips.

      Disengage the 2 clips to disconnect the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly.

    3. Disengage the 3 claws and 4 guides to remove the front fender reinforcement sub-assembly top LH.

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY TOP RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws to remove the front wiper arm head cap.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01VU17

      Remove the nut and front wiper arm and blade assembly LH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

      While holding the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH, remove the 2 nuts and front wiper arm and blade assembly RH.

      Note

      As the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH and the surrounding components may be damaged, make sure to hold the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH when removing the 2 nuts.

  7. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the 2 clips to disconnect the windshield outside moulding LH and windshield outside moulding RH.

    3. Disengage the 6 claws and 3 guides as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disengage the 9 guides and remove the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  8. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the 5 bolts and front wiper motor and link assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the bolt (A) and front wiper motor and link assembly as a set.

  9. REMOVE WIPER MOTOR WIRE

      Disconnect the connector to remove the wiper motor wire.
