LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SEAT) (w/ Seat Variable Cushion Switch)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Lumbar Support Adjuster Assembly (Driver Seat))

      Check the operation of the lumbar support adjuster assembly (driver seat).

      
      

      1. Check that the front seatback moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lumbar support adjuster assembly (driver seat) (forward and backward operation) connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seatback moves forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seatback moves backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the lumbar support adjuster assembly (driver seat).

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Lumbar Support Adjuster Assembly (Driver Seat))

      Check the operation of the lumbar support adjuster assembly (driver seat).

      
      

      1. Check that the front seatback moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lumbar support adjuster assembly (driver seat) (upward and downward operation) connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seatback moves upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seatback moves downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the lumbar support adjuster assembly (driver seat).

2. INSPECT LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SEAT) (w/o Seat Variable Cushion Switch)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Lumbar Support Adjuster Assembly (Driver Seat))

      Check the operation of the lumbar support adjuster assembly (driver seat).

      
      

      1. Check that the front seatback moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lumbar support adjuster assembly (driver seat) connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seatback moves forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seatback moves backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the lumbar support adjuster assembly (driver seat).

3. INSPECT LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SEAT) (w/ Seat Variable Cushion Switch)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Lumbar Support Adjuster Assembly (Front Passenger Seat))

      Check the operation of the lumbar support adjuster assembly (front passenger seat).

      
      

      1. Check that the front seatback moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lumbar support adjuster assembly (front passenger seat) (forward and backward operation) connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seatback moves forward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seatback moves backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the lumbar support adjuster assembly (front passenger seat).

      Check the operation of the lumbar support adjuster assembly (front passenger seat).

      
      

      1. Check that the front seatback moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lumbar support adjuster assembly (front passenger seat) (upward and downward operation) connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seatback moves upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seatback moves downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the lumbar support adjuster assembly (front passenger seat).

4. INSPECT LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SEAT) (w/o Seat Variable Cushion Switch)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Lumbar Support Adjuster Assembly (Front Passenger Seat))

      Check the operation of the lumbar support adjuster assembly (front passenger seat).

      
      

      1. Check that the front seatback moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the lumbar support adjuster assembly (front passenger seat) connector terminals.
