LIGHTING SYSTEM Interior Light Auto Cut Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the battery saving control operates, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the operation of the DOME CUT relay that is built into the instrument panel junction block assembly to turn off the interior lights.

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • Before replacing the main ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.

  • The vehicle battery supplies power to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via the door control battery. Therefore, before proceeding with troubleshooting, perform an on-vehicle inspection and confirm that the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) power source circuit is normal.*

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the 2E*1 or 2G*2 instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
