LIGHTING SYSTEM ACC Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the engine switch on (ACC) or off condition, and sends it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • Before replacing the main ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.

  • The vehicle battery supplies power to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via the door control battery. Therefore, before proceeding with troubleshooting, perform an on-vehicle inspection and confirm that the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) power source circuit is normal.*

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC (ENTRY AND START SYSTEM (for Start Function))


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Entry&Start > Clear DTCs
    2. Check for the DTCs.

      Click here

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the 2E*1 or 2G*2 instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

  4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
