THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM Power Source Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Based on changes in the power source voltage, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) can detect if the battery has been disconnected and reconnected.

Note


  • Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • The vehicle battery supplies power to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via the door control battery. Therefore, before proceeding with troubleshooting, perform an on-vehicle inspection and confirm that the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) power source circuit is normal.*

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SUPPLY)


    1. Disconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.*1

    2. Disconnect the 2C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.*2


      • *1: w/o Canister Pump Module with Door Ajar Warning Buzzer Function

      • *2: w/ Canister Pump Module or w/o Door Ajar Warning Buzzer Function

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      2B-23 - Body ground Always 8.5 V or higher
