GENERATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the 2 wire harness clamp brackets with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

      Insert the bolt (A) as shown in the illustration.

    3. Set the generator assembly with the bolt (A) to the engine assembly.

      Tech Tips

      As there is not enough clearance to insert the bolt (A) after setting the generator assembly to the engine assembly, set the generator assembly to the engine assembly with the bolt (A) inserted.

    4. B005O3RN01

      Tighten the bolt (A) and install the bolt (B).

      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }

    5. Connect the generator assembly connector.

    6. Connect the engine wire to terminal B with the nut.

      Torque:
      9.8 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf }

    7. Install the terminal cap.

    8. Engage the 2 clamps, and connect the crankshaft position sensor connector.

  2. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
