DESCRIPTION

DTC C1621 is stored if the parking assist ECU determines that the input/output signal communication with the rear television camera assembly is abnormal.

  • When "!" mark is displayed on the multi-display assembly*1 or accessory meter assembly*2 after the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the panoramic view monitor system may be needed.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the J72 parking assist ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the Z11 rear television camera assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J72-3 (CB+) - Z11-6 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J72-9 (CGND) - Z11-5 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      J72-3 (CB+) or Z11-6 (CB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J72-9 (CGND) or Z11-5 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  2. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU (CB+, CGND)

      Remove the parking assist ECU with the connector still connected.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
