HEATED WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. GENERAL

    The heated windshield defroster system thin heater wires are attached to the windshield glass and defrost the windshield glass surface quickly.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Component Outline
    Front Window Deicer Switch (Lower D Module Switch) Sends signals to the air conditioning amplifier assembly to operate the heated windshield defroster system.
    Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly Sends heated windshield defroster activation request signals to the HWD NO. 1 relay, HWD NO. 2 relay and HWD NO. 3 relay.

    • HWD NO. 1 relay

    • HWD NO. 2 relay

    • HWD NO. 3 relay

    		 Receive heated windshield defroster activation request signals from the air conditioning amplifier assembly and supply power to the windshield glass (No. 1 heated windshield defroster) and windshield glass (No. 2 heated windshield defroster).

    • Windshield glass (No. 1 heated windshield defroster)

    • Windshield glass (No. 2 heated windshield defroster)

    		 Receive power from HWD NO. 1 relay and HWD NO. 2 relay and heat thin heater wires.
    ECM Sends engine speed signals to the air conditioning amplifier assembly.
