WINDOW DEFOGGER SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU


  1. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

    *A w/o Seat Heater System *B w/ Seat Heater System

    1. Disconnect the J43 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

      Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

      Terminal No. (Symbol) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      J43-2 (IG+) - J43-4 (GND) GR - W-B Power source (IG) Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      J43-2 (IG+) - J43-4 (GND) GR - W-B Power source (IG) Engine switch off Below 1 V
      J43-1 (B) - J43-4 (GND) R - W-B Battery power supply Always 11 to 14 V
      J43-4 (GND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Reconnect the J43 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage and check for pulses according to the value(s) in the table below.

      J43-5 (RDEF) - J43-4 (GND) P - W-B Rear window defogger signal Engine switch on (IG), rear window defogger switch off 11 to 14 V
