CONDENSER(for 8AR-FTS) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

      B005OOA Install in this Direction

      Engage the 2 guides and 4 claws to install the cooler condenser assembly to the intercooler cooling radiator assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly or intercooler cooling radiator assembly when installing the cooler condenser assenbly.

  2. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY WITH INTERCOOLER COOLING RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly with intercooler cooling radiator assembly or radiator assembly when installing the cooler condenser assembly with intercooler cooling radiator assembly.

    2. Engage the 4 claws to install the cooler condenser assembly with intercooler cooling radiator assembly.

      Tech Tips

      If a new cooler condenser assembly is installed, add compressor oil to the condenser as follows.

      Capacity
      Add 40 cc (1.35 fl. oz)
      Refrigerant Compressor Oil
      HFC-134a (R134a) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      HFO-1234yf (R1234yf) ND-OIL 12 or equivalent
  3. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS HOSE

  4. CONNECT NO. 2 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE

  5. CONNECT NO. 3 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE

  6. CONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the vinyl tape from the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      Refrigerant Compressor Oil
      HFC-134a (R134a) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      HFO-1234yf (R1234yf) ND-OIL 12 or equivalent
    3. Install the O-ring to the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

    4. Connect the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly to the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
  7. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the vinyl tape from the discharge hose sub-assembly and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the discharge hose sub-assembly.

      Refrigerant Compressor Oil
      HFC-134a (R134a) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      HFO-1234yf (R1234yf) ND-OIL 12 or equivalent
    3. Install the O-ring to the discharge hose sub-assembly.

    4. Connect the discharge hose sub-assembly to the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
  8. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  10. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  11. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR

  12. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

  13. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  14. ADD COOLANT (for Intercooler)

  15. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Intercooler)

  16. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT

    for HFC-134a (R134a):

  17. WARM UP ENGINE
