REFRIGERANT LINE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL PIPING CLAMP


    1. for Low Pressure without Sub-cool Accelerator:


      1. Remove the vinyl tape from the open ends of the suction pipe sub-assembly and suction hose sub-assembly.

        *2 Piping Clamp
        *a Groove

        Install a new piping clamp to the suction hose sub-assembly.

        Note


        • Securely engage the inside step of the piping clamp into the groove of the suction hose sub-assembly.

        • Do not widen the opening of the piping clamp more than the diameter of the suction hose sub-assembly when installing it.

        • Do not install the piping clamp with the large diameter section in the wrong direction.

      3. Thoroughly coat 2 new O-rings and the contact surface of the suction hose sub-assembly with compressor oil.

        Compressor Oil
        ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      4. Install the 2 O-rings to the suction hose sub-assembly.

        Note

        Keep the O-rings and sealing surface of the suction pipe sub-assembly free from foreign matter.

        *b Alignment Mark

        Engage the suction pipe sub-assembly and suction hose sub-assembly by matching the alignment marks.

        Note

        Engage the parts by holding the pipe, not the piping clamp.

      6. B005P0GC03
        *a Large Diameter Section of Piping Clamp

        Securely insert the piping clamp to the point where the large diameter section of the piping clamp is covered by the suction pipe sub-assembly.

        Tech Tips


        • When inserting, make sure that a click sound is heard.

        • Check that the suction hose sub-assembly is securely inserted by pulling it.

    2. for Low Pressure with Sub-cool Accelerator:


      1. Remove the vinyl tape from the open ends of the No. 2 air conditioner tube and accessory assembly and suction hose sub-assembly.

        Install a new piping clamp to the suction hose sub-assembly.

        Note


        • Securely engage the inside step of the piping clamp into the groove of the suction hose sub-assembly.

        HFC-134a (R134a) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
        HFO-1234yf (R1234yf) ND-OIL 12 or equivalent
      4. Install the 2 O-rings to the suction hose sub-assembly.

        Note

        Keep the O-rings and sealing surface of the No. 2 air conditioner tube and accessory assembly free from foreign matter.

        Engage the No. 2 air conditioner tube and accessory assembly and suction hose sub-assembly by matching the alignment marks.

        Note

        Engage the parts by holding the pipe, not the piping clamp.

        Securely insert the piping clamp to the point where the large diameter section of the piping clamp is covered by the No. 2 air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

        Tech Tips


        • When inserting, make sure that a click sound is heard.

    3. for High Pressure with Sub-cool Accelerator:


      1. Remove the vinyl tape from the No. 2 air conditioner tube and accessory assembly and air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

        Refrigerant Compressor Oil
        HFC-134a (R134a) ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
        HFO-1234yf (R1234yf) ND-OIL 12 or equivalent
      3. Install the 2 O-rings to the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

        Note

        Keep the O-rings and sealing surface of the No. 2 air conditioner tube and accessory assembly free from foreign matter.

      4. Install the No. 2 air conditioner tube and accessory assembly to the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

        Install the piping clamp to the No. 2 air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

        Note

        Make sure that the piping clamp is engaged securely with no gap.

  2. INSTALL PIPING CLAMP (w/ Rear Air Conditioning System)


    1. for Low Pressure without Sub-cool Accelerator:


      1. Remove the vinyl tape from the suction pipe sub-assembly and air conditioning hose and accessory.

      2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the suction pipe sub-assembly.

        Compressor Oil
        ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      3. Install the 2 O-rings to the suction pipe sub-assembly.

      4. Install the suction pipe sub-assembly to the air conditioning hose and accessory.

        Install the piping clamp to the air conditioning hose and accessory.

        Note

        Make sure that the piping clamp is engaged securely with no gap.

    2. for Low Pressure with Sub-cool Accelerator:


      1. Remove the vinyl tape from the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly and air conditioning hose and accessory.

      2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

        ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      3. Install the 2 O-rings to the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

      4. Install the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly to the air conditioning hose and accessory.

      2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      3. Install the 2 O-rings to the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      4. Install the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly to the air conditioning hose and accessory.

        Install the piping clamp to the air conditioning hose and accessory.

      1. Remove the vinyl tape from the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly and air conditioning hose and accessory.

      2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surfaces of the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

        ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      3. Install the 2 O-rings to the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

      4. Install the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly to the air conditioning hose and accessory.

        Install the piping clamp to the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

        Note

        Make sure that the piping clamp is engaged securely with no gap.

  3. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT
