Note

If the multiplex network door ECU has been removed and installed or replaced, or if any of the connectors has been disconnected, initialize the power back door system.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Back Door > Clear DTCs
    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU - POWER BACK DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY RH)


    1. Disconnect the Z16 multiplex network door ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the Z14 power back door sensor assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Z16-6 (OSR) - Z14-1 (OSR) Always Below 1 Ω
      Z16-24 (OSE) - Z14-2 (OSRE) Always Below 1 Ω
      Z16-6 (OSR) or Z14-1 (OSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Z16-24 (OSE) or Z14-2 (OSRE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
