DESCRIPTION
If the power back door cannot be closed using the back door control switch, there may be a malfunction in one of the following: 1) back door control switch circuit or 2) multiplex network door ECU.

Note
If the multiplex network door ECU has been removed and installed or replaced, or if any of the connectors has been disconnected, initialize the power back door system.
PROCEDURE
READ VALUE USING GTS
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door / Data List.
Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

Remove the back door control switch.
Inspect the back door control switch.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH - MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU AND BODY GROUND)
Disconnect the Z22 back door control switch connector.
Disconnect the Z16 multiplex network door ECU connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
