  1. INSPECT MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R8-5 (VMT2) - Body ground

      RSE playing

      → Source changed

      Above 3.5 V

      → Below 1 V
      R8-4 (VMT1) - Body ground

      RSE playing

      → Source changed

      Above 3.5 V

      → Below 1 V

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER SUB-ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the R8 multi-display controller sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the e5 television display assembly LH connector.

    3. Disconnect the d5 television display assembly RH connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R8-5 (VMT2) - e5-2 (VMTR) Always Below 1 Ω
      R8-4 (VMT1) - d5-2 (VMTR) Always Below 1 Ω
      R8-5 (VMT2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R8-4 (VMT1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
