DESCRIPTION

The accessory meter assembly and radio receiver assembly are connected by AVC-LAN communication lines.

This DTC is stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the accessory meter assembly and radio receiver assembly.

    1. Check for optional components.


      1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

        • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.

        • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the J137 accessory meter assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      J137-13 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      J137-12 (B) - J137-13 (GND1) Always 11 to 14 V
      J137-24 (ACC) - J137-13 (GND1) Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the J50 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the J137 accessory meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J50-45 (TX3+) - J137-7 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J50-46 (TX3-) - J137-19 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      J50-45 (TX3+) or J137-7 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J50-46 (TX3-) or J137-19 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. REPLACE ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the accessory meter assembly with a new or known good one.
