REAR SPEED SENSOR(for 2WD) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

  • The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the rear speed sensor is malfunctioning, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

  • If the rear speed sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

      Tech Tips


      • The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the rear speed sensor is malfunctioning, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

      • If the rear speed sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

  2. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS

  3. INSPECT REAR AXLE HUB RUNOUT

  4. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE


    1. Connect the connector to the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

      Note

      Do not twist the rear No. 1 skid control sensor wire.

    2. Install the rear No. 1 skid control sensor wire with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }
  5. INSTALL REAR DISC

  6. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

  7. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER
