DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
If any of the following is detected, the brake warning light remains on:
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector is disconnected from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly).
The brake fluid level is insufficient.
EBD operation is not possible.
The vacuum inside the brake booster decreases.

Note
When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform zero point calibration and store system information.
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure (w/o Stop and Start System).

CHECK IF SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR IS SECURELY CONNECTED
Check if the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector is securely connected.

Disconnect the A41 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Turn the engine switch off.
Remove the reservoir filler cap and strainer.
Disconnect the A45 brake fluid level warning switch (brake master cylinder reservoir assembly) connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Tech Tips
A float is located inside the reservoir. Its position can be changed by increasing or decreasing the level of brake fluid.

Reinstall the reservoir filler cap and strainer.
Reconnect the A45 brake fluid level warning switch (brake master cylinder reservoir assembly) connector.
Reconnect the A35 vacuum warning switch assembly connector.
Reconnect the J10 combination meter assembly connector.
Reconnect the A41 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Select the Data List using the GTS.
