C1240 Yaw Rate Sensor Discrimination The yaw rate sensor identification information stored in the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is not consistent with the yaw rate sensor identification information sent via CAN communication continuously for 1 second or more.

  • Yaw rate sensor (airbag sensor assembly) (for optitron meter type)

  • Yaw rate sensor (yaw rate and acceleration sensor) (for TFT meter type)

  • Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When replacing the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly), perform zero point calibration and store system information (for optitron meter type).

When replacing the yaw rate and acceleration sensor, perform zero point calibration and store system information (for TFT meter type).

  1. CHECK VEHICLE


    1. Check the combination meter assembly.

  2. CHECK PART NUMBER (YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR)


    1. Check that the part number of the installed yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) is correct.

      OK
      Yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) installed in the vehicle has the correct part number.
      Result
      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    NG

    REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY Click here

  3. RECONFIRM DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC/EPB > Clear DTCs

    2. Turn the engine switch off.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    4. Check if the same DTC is output.

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC/EPB > Trouble Codes

      DTC C1240 is not output. B
