WHEEL HUB GARNISH INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL WHEEL CAP

    Note

    Be careful not to damage the disc wheel.

    Tech Tips


    • There are 5 wheel caps per wheel.

    • Perform the same procedure for each of the 5 wheel caps.


    1. A01VW6XC01
      *a Component (A)
      *b Component (B)
      *c Claw

      Confirm the following conditions before installing the wheel cap.

      Note

      If any abnormalities are found, replace the wheel cap with a new one.


      1. The component (A) and (B) are not loose or missing.

      2. The claw is not cracked or has deteriorated.

    2. A01VW24N01

      Engage the claw (B).

    3. Engage the claw (A) to install the wheel cap to the wheel assembly.

    4. Confirm that the wheel cap is securely installed.

      Note


      • Confirm that the wheel cap is not excessively loose.

      • If the installation of the wheel cap is abnormal, replace the wheel cap with a new one.

      • Periodically inspect the wheel cap.
