Note


  • If DTC C1AF4 is output after performing repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the LEXUS parking assist-sensor system on to clear the DTC.

  • After replacing an ultrasonic sensor or the clearance warning ECU assembly, perform the necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration).

PROCEDURE


  1. INITIALIZE ULTRASONIC SENSOR NO. 3 AND ULTRASONIC SENSOR NO. 4


    1. Initialize the ultrasonic sensor No. 3 (rear left and rear right sensor) and ultrasonic sensor No. 4 (rear left center and rear right center sensor).

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Using the GTS, check for DTCs according to the prompts on the screen.

      Tech Tips

      After turning the engine switch from off to on (IG), wait 10 seconds or more before checking for DTCs.

      Tech Tips

      f DTC C1AF4 is still output after initializing the ultrasonic sensor No. 3 (rear left and rear right sensor) and ultrasonic sensor No. 4 (rear left center and rear right center sensor) 3 times, replace the clearance warning ECU assembly.
