4WD CONTROL SWITCH(for 2GR-FKS) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT AWD LOCK SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Inspect the AWD lock switch (for LHD):


      1. B005PJOC35
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (AWD Lock Switch (Combination Switch Assembly))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        5 (B) - 1 (GND) AWD lock switch pushed Below 50 Ω
        AWD lock switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly).

    2. Inspect the AWD lock switch (for RHD):


      1. A01R8MYC51
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (AWD Lock Switch (Combination Switch Assembly))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        4 (B) - 1 (GND) AWD lock switch pushed Below 50 Ω
        AWD lock switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly).

    3. Inspect the illumination:


      1. A01R8MYC30
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (AWD Lock Switch (Combination Switch Assembly))

        Apply battery voltage to the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly) and check that the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly) illuminates.

        Standard
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 10 (ILL+)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (ILL-)

        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the AWD lock switch (combination switch assembly).
