PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ADJUSTMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. SECURE VEHICLE


    1. Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.

      CAUTION:


      • Make sure to apply the parking brake and chock a wheel before performing this procedure.

      • If the vehicle is not secure and the shift lever is moved to N, the vehicle may suddenly move, possibly resulting in an accident or serious injury.

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  3. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  5. REMOVE BATTERY

  6. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

  7. ADJUST PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. B005LST

      Disconnect the park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    2. Remove the nut and transmission control shaft lever from the manual valve lever shaft sub-assembly.

      Loosen the 2 bolts of the park/neutral position switch assembly.

      *a Neutral Basic Line
      *b Protrusion

      Align the protrusion with the neutral basic line.

    5. Hold the park/neutral position switch assembly in position and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
    6. Install the transmission control shaft lever to the manual valve lever shaft sub-assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      16 N*m  { 163 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf }
    7. Connect the park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

  8. CONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

  9. INSTALL BATTERY

  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
