PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (STOP AND START SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH) (for LHD)

      Component without harness connected

      (Combination Switch Assembly (Stop and Start System Cancel Switch))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      5 (ECU) - 1 (GND) Pushed Below 50 Ω
      Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly (stop and start system cancel switch).

  2. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (STOP AND START SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH) (for RHD)

      Component without harness connected

      (Combination Switch Assembly (Stop and Start System Cancel Switch))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      4 (ECU) - 1 (GND) Pushed Below 50 Ω
      Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch assembly (stop and start system cancel switch).
