HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during heated oxygen sensor removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH


    1. B005L6YC01
      B005NIZ Bolt
      B005LWS Screws

      Remove the clip (A), 2 screws and 4 bolts.

    2. Disengage the 2 clips (B) to remove the front floor cover LH.

  2. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR

    CAUTION:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

      Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

    2. Disengage the 4 wire harness clamps.

      Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor from the center exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst).

      Note

      If the heated oxygen sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
