NAME PLATE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM


    1. A01QCIRC01

      *b Piano Wire

      B002CL1 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the symbol emblem as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using an infrared light, heat the symbol emblem.

      Heating Temperature
      Item Temperature
      Symbol Emblem

      40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

      3 to 5 minutes

      Note

      Do not heat the symbol emblem excessively.


      1. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and symbol emblem.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and cut the double-sided tape that holds the symbol emblem to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful of the location pin positions.


      1. Remove the symbol emblem.

    5. Remove the protective tape.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE

      Apply protective tape around the No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using an infrared light, heat the No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate.

      40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

      3 to 5 minutes

      Note

      Do not heat the No. 1 luggage compartment door name emblem excessively.


      1. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and cut the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate to the vehicle body.


      1. Remove the No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate.

    5. Remove the protective tape.

  3. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PLATE

      *b Piano Wire

      Apply protective tape around the No. 3 luggage compartment door plate as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using an infrared light, heat the No. 3 luggage compartment door plate.

      3 to 5 minutes

      Note

      Do not heat the No. 3 luggage compartment door plate excessively.


      1. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 3 luggage compartment door plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and cut the double-sided tape that holds the No. 3 luggage compartment door plate to the vehicle body.


      1. Remove the No. 3 luggage compartment door plate.

    5. Remove the protective tape.

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT FENDER NAME PLATE

      Apply protective tape around the No. 2 front fender name plate as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using an infrared light, heat the No. 2 front fender name plate.

      40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)

      3 to 5 minutes

      Note

      Do not heat the No. 2 front fender name plate excessively.


      1. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 2 front fender name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and cut the double-sided tape that holds the No. 2 front fender name plate to the vehicle body.


      1. Remove the No. 2 front fender name plate.

    5. Remove the protective tape.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT FENDER NAME PLATE

      Apply protective tape around the No. 1 front fender name plate as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using an infrared light, heat the No. 1 front fender name plate.

      3 to 5 minutes

      Note

      Do not heat the No. 1 front fender name plate excessively.


      1. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 1 front fender name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and cut the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 front fender name plate to the vehicle body.


      1. Remove the No. 1 front fender name plate.

    5. Remove the protective tape.
