REAR BUMPER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B002D1YC01
      B002CL1 Double-sided Tape

      Remove the clip.

    2. Peel off the double-sided tape to remove the rear bumper side moulding sub-assembly LH.

  2. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the claw and guide to remove the reflex reflector assembly LH.

  4. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PIECE LH

      Disengage the claws and hook to remove the rear bumper piece LH.

  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PIECE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER BAR

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws to remove the rear bumper bar.

  8. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    2. Disengage the clamps to remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

  11. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CENTER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 clips and 12 outside moulding retainers.

    2. Remove the rear bumper center extension sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE REAR SPOILER COVER LH


    1. A01QBUM

      Remove the 3 clips and outside moulding retainer.

    2. Disengage the claw to remove the rear spoiler cover LH.

  13. REMOVE REAR SPOILER COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD LH

      Peel off the double-sided tape to remove the rear bumper pad LH.

  15. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR LH

      Peel off the double-sided tape to remove the rear bumper protector LH.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 MOULDING TAPE


    1. A01Q9ZE

      Peel off the double-sided tape to remove the No. 2 moulding tape.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  17. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER


    1. A01QATZ

      Disengage the guides to remove the rear bumper energy absorber.

  18. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

      Remove the grommet and fold back the rear fender liner LH.

    2. A01Q8YZ

      Remove the screw.

    3. A01QBQ4

      Remove the screw.

      B002C8N Remove in this Direction

      Disengage the claw to remove the rear bumper side support LH as shown in the illustration.

  19. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  20. REMOVE REAR BUMPER LOWER SIDE RETAINER RH

      B002C8N Remove in this Direction

      Remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the claw to remove the rear bumper lower side retainer RH as shown in the illustration.

  21. REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01QBGP

      Remove the 8 bolts and rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly.

  22. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  24. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER LH

      Disengage the claws to remove the rear bumper upper retainer LH as shown in the illustration.

  25. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  26. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

      B002DP3 Turn

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 clips as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      The clip cannot be completely removed.

      B002C8N Remove in this Direction

      Using a clip remover, disengage the claws to remove the No. 2 rear bumper side support LH as shown in the illustration.

  27. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH
