  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the rocker panel moulding body using an infrared light.

    Heating Temperature

    20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    3 to 5 minutes

    No. 1 Rocker Panel Moulding Protector

    20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    3 to 5 minutes

    Note

    Do not heat the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector and rocker panel moulding body excessively.


    1. Clean the rocker panel moulding body.


      1. Using a piece of cloth, rub the double-sided tape off the rocker panel moulding body.

        Note


        • Installing the rocker panel moulding body while old double-sided tape remains can cause adhesion failure.

        • Using a screwdriver or similar tool to remove the old tape can damage the surface and cause adhesion failure.

      2. Using a non-residue solvent, clean the attachment surface.

    2. for Front Side:


      1. Using an infrared light, heat a new No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector and rocker panel moulding body.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        Align the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector with the mark-off line of the rocker panel moulding body.

        Standard Measurement
        Area Measurement
        A 5.0 mm (0.197 in.)

        Note

        Press the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector firmly to install it.

    3. for Rear Side:


      1. Using an infrared light, heat a new No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector and rocker panel moulding body.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        Align the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector with the mark-off line of the rocker panel moulding body.

        Area Measurement
        A 5.0 mm (0.197 in.)

        Note

        Press the No. 1 rocker panel moulding protector firmly to install it.

  2. INSTALL NO. 5 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR

    When installing the No. 5 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the rocker panel moulding body using an infrared light.

    Note

  3. INSTALL NO. 3 ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR

    When installing the No. 3 rocker panel moulding protector, heat the rocker panel moulding body using an infrared light.

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 SIDE MUDGUARD PROTECTOR

    When installing the No. 1 side mudguard protector, heat the rocker panel moulding body using an infrared light.

  6. INSTALL NO. 2 SIDE MUDGUARD PROTECTOR

    When installing the No. 2 side mudguard protector, heat the rocker panel moulding body using an infrared light.
